One Day in October

It was a beautiful fall day today…possibly the last of the season. Even though the wind was blowing, it was a balmy 70 degrees. Perfect weather for a leisurely walk. We live in the best walking neighborhood in Des Moines…there is something new and unique to see with every step. Come walk with us…and see why we love it!

Isn’t it amazing how the blush of a single leaf can speak Heaven’s beauty?

Great pictures! I love Fall because even on a rainy, dreary day (like today) it looks beautiful outside because of the red and orange leaves.

Fall is truly the time where we fill up our souls with the beauty of nature in order to make it through the cold winter. Your pictures are beautiful. We spent all day outside yesterday, too.

Those acorns make fantastic toys. A small basket full of them will keep a kid entertained for hours :) since we have no mature oaks in our neighborhood we substitute chestnuts from the co-op, but finding your toys in nature is such an opportunity for children!

Beautiful, Sara! I wish I could walk with you guys in your lovely neighborhood. You just talked me into bundling up and going for a walk myself! Happy fall!
