Amazing Gift

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

It’s been a beautiful Christmas day! We’ve played outside, sat by the fire, and enjoyed family. I love holidays…when the pace slows down to a stand still, even for just one day. Here are some memories from our day.Thank you Jesus for the most amazing gift.

So many times I separate things– “Thank you for Jesus” and “Thank you for my family”– but I forget that, without Jesus, the joy I receive from my family wouldn’t exist in such a pure state–it’s ALL because of Jesus! What a blessing this Christmas day was for us too. Letter coming soon!

    Hi Sara!
I stumbled onto your blog from one of your other blogs that had an almond milk recipe I needed. I was amazed that you had seen ‘The Gleaners and I’! I thought I was one of only a very few that had seen that. I love your site and am greatly encouraged by your love for Jesus, your joy and your efforts to live a deeper, more significant, intentional life.

Best wishes to you this Christmas season!

    Hi Sara,
Your site is so wonderful. I have been inspired and rejuvenated in my walk with God from reading your honest, intelligent, and insightful writing. After reading your post on Compact(ing) I wanted to tell you about a wonderful book I read by Randy Alcorn: Money, Possessions, and Eternity. This book is gentle yet honest and has helped me tremendously in re-evaluating how I spend my money and what truly ‘owns’ my heart. Randy Alcorn also lives what he preaches which makes this book an even greater testament to putting Christ first in all things.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wanted to say THANK YOU for this amazing blog! My hubby and I had the greatest conversation about compacting and downsizing last night, totally inspired by reading about it here. Also, I LOVE your photographs - wow! I’ve spent many happy hours here the past few evenings reading and sipping my tea … so, thank you! Also, best wishes to you and your family in your move. Merry Christmas!

Hi Sara! I LOVE your blogs. You really inspire me to simplfy my life and eat healthier. Is there anyway you can add an RSS button or something so readers can subscribe to your blogs? That way, I can add you to my NewsGator.com and it keeps track of when all my favorite blogs have been posted on.

PS - I LOVE your new home! I couldn’t possibly survive in all that snow, but it is BEAUTIFUL!! ;)
