In my opinion...the difference is just personal preference. I believe that baking soda/vinegar cleans just as well as the other pre-made products. However, the pre-made products appeal to a lot of people because it is easier for them, and they like the smell better. I use a mix of both when I clean...depending on what I'm doing.
