Dinah...I'm right there with you. I use the Internet for EVERYTHING. It's my phone book, my Bible reference, my weather, my news, my lifeline to the outside world :) I just loved how she worded it...and I took it to mean do we look too much to external sources instead of God? And I know I do. Thanks for your very thoughtful comment!

The thing I love about my computer and the Internet is that both are an awesome tool. I crank up my computer in the a.m. and up pops my Elisabeth Elliot daily devotional and my link for the online Bible that I read daily. Next there is my food journal on my virtual desktop with which I track my food intake...if I don't know the calorie count I can google the food name....I've been able to keep track and lose some weight. Available are some bookmarked blogs from other losers (as in weight) and for free I get input that I paid Weight Watchers $12 every week. I never have to buy magazines or cookbooks, I can get most everything for free (well, my connection does cost me $20 a month). And I've found a mini-ministry because I can leave comments that encourage young frustrated mothers and I can become informed as I read other bloggers express their concerns on their blogs---there is actual discourse taking place.

Like any good thing I could use it for evil instead of good. But for now it is good. I feel like it gives me a voice I can get nowhere else...and an audience to go with it.

Wow - I have had the same thoughts myself, wondering if I replace God with Google... and I think if I'm honest, I do.
