My problem with raw was somehow getting my family onboard. I guess I will have to be satisfied that we are at least vegetarian. (On another note, a raw diet did seem to give me too much sugar, and it seemed to alter my system in unhealthy ways. So now I'm about 1/2 raw.)

I was excited to see this post. I just started eating raw two weeks ago. Found some great raw food recipes online. Feeling better already - really!

Check out my friend's raw food site. http://sarah811.blogspot.com/ She has been completely raw for over a year and has blogged about it the whole time. They are church planters in the DFW area.

Amber...thanks for the kind words! :) I'd love to meet you in person. Are you on our tour route? About breastfeeing...check out this link: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-11524.html
or google "raw food breastfeeding" and you'll see quite a few. There is no reason to not go raw while you are breastfeeding...it's optimal nutrition for you and the baby. I would probably take a high quality whole foods supplement to make sure you're getting enough of what you need and continue to drink lots of water.

I adore this blog, by the way. You're definitely (who my husband would call) one of my imaginary friends.

So, do you recommend going RAW while breast-feeding?

Just wanted to say I am loving your blog! I was linked to it from an AP mama in an online forum I belong to. We share many of the same interests (I am a photographer as well) and I have enjoyed reading things from your perspective.

Thanks for sharing your faith so openly, and God bless you as you walk this journey!

Blessings,

Summer Knobloch

I check your site periodically, but hadn't been here in a while. Hubby and I just got finished watching several youtube videos on people who are on a raw food diet and although we aren't going RAW we have decided to make a bigger effort to change our diet to look less like the S.A.D. way of eating. I think hubby said he wanted to start a 2 month challenge. We just went through our pantry today and got a lot of stuff bagged up to give to a friend who recently lost her job and still eats SAD. We are a long way from getting our diet to where it should be but little changes. I hope that during this next two months we will gain a new appreciation for fresh raw produce!!!

Anyway all that to say. . . have you ever made any youtube videos? I would love to see you on youtube!

Sorry, I could never do that. I need my veggies to be cooked--stir-fries, home-made soup--and I love grains too much (not sprouted grains)!

But good luck to those who accept your challenge.
