Emily Falconbridge Giveaway!
I have been an admirer of Emily Falconbridge’s camera straps for quite some time now…and when we stayed with her family in San Diego, I became the proud owner of one! Thanks Emily!
Her straps are just too cool to pass up…whether you just started taking photos or you’ve been shooting your entire life, you need one of her straps. Why have a boring factory strap around your neck when you can look fabulous with one of Em’s?!
Here is what they look like around the necks some amazing women

Tara Whitney | Ali Edwards | Cathy Zielske
Emily generously donated the red and orange strap that you see above for a giveaway on this blog. Yay yay yay! So…all you have to do is come out of lurkerdom and leave me a comment. Any comment. Tell me what you are doing this weekend. Tell me how you found my blog. Tell me your favorite thing about summer…or something that no one would ever guess about you. It’s a free for all
I will choose the winner at random on July 11. Of course, it would be great if you would tell all the photographers you know about her site as well. Or, buy some extra straps for the photographers in your life. She is constantly updating and posting new and different designs, so be sure to check back often.
Let the giveaway begin…

Sara, I have been following your journey ever since Tara Whitney posted a link to your little apartment about a year and a half ago I think, maybe closer to two years. I followed you and voted for you through the contest because I thought your space was just the greatest ever. I was so inspired and could not get enough of the pictures of your little abode. We ended up buying our first little home (condo) shortly thereafter and I (embarrassing) totally copied your yellow paint and happened to find the same rainbow stripe rug online at the Crate and Barrel outlet. So I basically copied you! I could say more about how you inspire me, but I don’t want to freak you out! Thanks for your inspiring walk outside the box!

Hi Sara,
I wanted to be a photographer for a long time. Unfortunately, being one entails a lot of money(in the country i live in, anyways)
But i splurged! And now, i own a digital camera! One step towards my dream! Straps would be a great motivation!
Cheers!

Hi Sarah!!!
I just realized you were in my old stomping grounds!!! Portland, OR. Was it raining????
Thanks for this blog – it’s one of my happy spaces!! I appreciate the research and ideas you publish and I’m looking at both your other sites for travel dreams and recipes…can’t find most of the ingredients here but it does make me more adventurous with what I CAN find. If you ever want to head south of the border – we’ll find you a place to ‘hookup’! que Dios les bendiga

Hi Sara,
I’ve been following your journey for some time now – and almost had the opportunity to meet your family on your way through Oregon, but the stars were not aligned that day. Just got back from our own family vacation in which I lost our camera somewhere in the Denver Airport. Hoping the nice folks at DIA return it to me. A strap is on my list of things to get as soon as the lost camera is returned or I get tired of waiting and go out and get a new one. There are many things I can do without- but photo documenting this amazing thing called motherhood is not one of them.

Sara, I have been following your site for the past 4 months or so and you really inspire me. I have also been reading Emily Falconbridge’s blog (thanks to you of course) and have learned so much in the past few months. I am currently working on flushing my closet out of unnecessary items, I’m eating locally and organically and I can’t tell you how much better my life is becoming. I have become involved in a group where we are trying to promote more organic and local buying in the area and I’m working on my very own etsy shop! (also thanks to you!!!) so KUDOS and keep it up. You’re fabulous…and the best part is that you’re you!

Hello there,
i found your blog through rondonia.blogspot a few months ago, now commenting for the 1st time. nooooo, the camerastrap has nothing to do with it
)
your blog is inspiring indeed, a huge thanks for doing it! i agree in alot & have been happy that you can say that what im still thinking – we seem to have similar values.
reading about your (& others) life helped me to do a big decision: i just resign my work (nurse) & will stay another 0,5-1yrs at home with 3 kids. hmmm… money or consumption is not a priority but family is. i would rather be a “poor” stay-at-home mum than a poor + stressed working mum. nurses here in n-eu do not earn much and quitting the job makes us just slightly poorer economically – but richer in love with family. surely God looks after us!
this weekend… hopefully we are having fun with kids (+hubby) – enjoying each others company. im just missing their presence after a hard work week. the biggest ones are on holiday. in case they go bed early (??!!) i could do alot of sewing.
keep sharing!
blessings,
-sr-

Hi Sara,
Come during sailing season this time.
Well what I really, desperately need and want is a new camera. But perhaps if I get my hands on a new strap first, the camera will follow. Positive thinking right? I was asked to do a shoot for a sailing magazine and was thrilled about the assignment but embarrassed about my camera
Good to hear you all are staying on the road… you know where to dock your new wheels if you head east again
Cheers
Cindy

Hi Sara! I’ve been reading your blog for almost two years now. You know I love ya! This giveaway is receiving A LOT of comments! Cool. My favorite thing about summer is the “lazy summer vibe” that our neighborhood takes on.
So I’m throwing my name in the proverbial hat. If I win, I’m sending the camera strap to a photographer friend that just moved away. (I already bought one for myself) If I don’t win, I’ll buy her a strap anyway!

I used to read now and again. I saw the mention in the NYT article re: Utopian living (and getting there).
For our family, this weekend means: a farmers market trip (for maple syrup and blueberries) and cleaning out another couple of basement boxes, followed by a run to Salvation Army to rid ourselves of the unnecessary stuff! The basement clear-out is easy to do when the heat and humidity force us to the basement’s coolness. And we listen to some 70′s records while we’re down there while my 2 and 4 year olds play the drums!

Sara…….adore your adventures. In fact I am waiting for my hair to grow out just a wee bit more, and I am dreading!! This weekend/ well, the 4th weekend…went to a cool spot in Indy to do some indoor rock climbing with the Poppets, and off to a friends to battle the bugs at 10:30pm to watch the fireworks. This weekend: destroying our bathroom ceiling to put a fan in!! Oh Joy!!
Blessed Be!!
