Prairieland Herbs Baby Goodness Giveaway

prairieland-herbs-baby-goodies.jpg

I was delighted a few weeks ago when I went to my PO Box and discovered that my favorite ladies at Prairieland Herbs had sent me a box of their baby goodies…congratulating me on our upcoming arrival. Weeeeeee! I was so excited. When Bella was a baby, I hadn’t met Donna and Maggie yet…so I was using Burt’s Bees products. This time around, I will definitely be using their line…simply because it’s more pure. It has less ingredients and smelly “stuff” in it than Burt’s Bees and I love it.

The great news is that we’re doing another giveaway…of all the products you see above! Calling all pregnant mamas, mamas with babies/toddlers, or those of you with pregnant mama friends: we are giving away the New Baby Gift Set…PLUS a stick of Belly Balm!! I love all the stuff in the gift set…especially the lavender powder (it smells so yummy!)…but my favorite so far has been the Belly Balm. I just used it once before my recent midwife appointment and as soon as I pulled my shirt up, she commented on how good my skin looked! :) I’m crediting the belly balm. It’s good.

The gift set includes:

1 – 8 oz. Baby’s Milk Bath
1 – 4 oz. Baby Bubbles
1 tube Baby Soft
1 Bottom’s Up Baby Powder

Plus the Belly Balm (which is not normally in the gift set)

You can read more about each product here, along with all the ingredients.

If you place an order with them…be sure to mention that you saw them on my blog and they will throw in a sample of the Baby’s Milk Bath! They also do a “Freebie Friday” giveaway each week on their blog, so if you love their products like I do…be sure to subscribe so don’t miss it.

To enter yourself in the drawing to be held in one week (I’ll do a random pick at 12:00 PST on Friday, Jan. 16)…leave me a comment and tell me one of your current FAVORITE THINGS. Your favorite memory from the holidays, your favorite blog right now, your favorite book from the last couple of months, or your favorite indulgence…you pick. I love hearing about favorites.

What fun to read all of your favorites…they make me smile!! It just reminds me that there is still SO MUCH GOOD in this world…despite the evil and sadness and death that we see every day. And most of these good things are just every day things…blessings in the daily routines of our lives. Isn’t God good? Keep ‘em coming!

A new favorite is a blog called Already Pretty. It’s written by this fun lady who loves clothes and shopping, but loves a positive body image and having fun with the way you look, just the way God made you. It’s encouraging and funny. Thanks for the chance to win such good products.

One of my favorite things right now is my “raw” hot chocolate. I’m not sure how raw it can be after I poor boiling water over it, but at least I feel better! I use coconut milk powder, honey and cacao powder and add hot water. Mmmm…yummy! Sometimes I add cinnamon. What a treat! Well, it is actually becoming a staple, but I’m working on that.

My favourite thing right now is watching my two year old daughter rub my growing bump, kiss it and say hello to her little brother or sister, while telling the baby that she is his/her big sister. She is so excited about it all and I can’t stop smiling at her love for my bump.

And then to feel little flutters and kicks as my daughter is talking to the baby just makes it even better. Sibling bonding starts early :)

I did a lot of reading last year, so I’m going with fav. recent book, since books are a favorite thing – A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. It was my first time to read that classic! A close second that I just have to mention to all the other expecting moms is The Squire by Enid Bagnold – an introspecive fictional rambling of an expecting woman, plus it describes a happy home-birth.

What a fun post! I’ve loved reading others’ responses.

For me, I’d have to say my favorite thing at the moment is holding hands with my toddler girls (3 years and 20 months, respectively) and dancing round the living room with them to Laurie Berkner music… We’re all laughing and breathless and I find myself thinking to myself each time, “Remember this always, remember this moment…”

Hi Sara! Hope all is well..lots going on in your world lately. My favorite book of 2009 is The Shack by William Paul Young. Great read if you get the chance. Also, this evening I am off to purchase essential oils, Dr. Bonner’s and vinegar to make “green” cleaning products for my family-upcoming b-days. While there I’ll pike up a starter pak of G-Diapers for a co-worker…I’m a cloth diapering momma for 16 months now. Thanks and stay warm!!

My absolute favorite holiday memory is 2 years old. I brought my daughter home a week before Christmas 2006. Just seeing the look in my 2 eldest eyes as they looked at their new sister under the christmas tree was better than any present that could have been bought anywhere anytime.

I’m not prego yet, but I have a 7 week old and a 12 month old that I’m fostering. I would love to try the products on my babies! My favorite thing lately is to enjoy a summery January day in South Georgia strolling my 1 year-old, Whitney, while wearing my baby-baby, Caliyah in the baby-bjorn. Thanks for the give away.
