Digging Into James

Here are a few books for you to check out if you’ve joined The James Challenge. I will be posting discussion questions from both on the Yahoo! group.
“Be Mature: Growing Up In Christ”
by Warren Wiersbe
This book is extremely well written and I’m really enjoying digging into it. It is a commentary, with a few questions at the end of each section. And believe me, Wiersbe knows his stuff! If you really want to dissect the book of James, pick this one up.

by Max Lucado
We are currently studying James in the small group that we hold at our house, and this is the book we’re using for our 12-week study. It’s mostly discussion questions…with a little commentary along the way.

Hello Sara,
Thank for recommending these books, I have read books by Max Lucado, but this is the fist time I have been introduced to Waren Wiersbe…thank you.I will buy them soon =D I started reading the 1st chapter of James… I’m delighting in God’s word. Have a wonderful night…♥Liliana

max lucado is such an excellent writer. He tells a story with words like a painter with oils on a canvas. Im sure he makes the book of james come alive! thank you for recommending these…i will hunt them out:)

We love Wiersbe. James read him as we were going through Hebrews. He’s an excellent communicator.

Yes…he’s great. Our friend, Kris, in Boulder told me about this book on James…so I knew it had to be a good one
Wiersbe goes to the church we attended in Lincoln.

hey sara… I found the lucado book unused on our bookshelf!! Hubby had picked up several options for his men’s 6am group. They’ve been meeting for several years and know the best way to fit it in, is to do it first!! Anyway.

We love Wiersbe! We have the one on James and several others. I’ll have to dig it out again. It’s been years since I read it.

Glad to see some ‘hippie’ Christians out there. I love the way that you decorated your RV. So often RV’s are filled with ultra-tacky furnishings. It would be impossible to be creative at all in those typical ugly things.
