Sutara Banner Giveaway!
Several of you have commented on my “Rejoice” banner…isn’t it fun?! Well, I have exciting news! Brenna, the mama who runs Sutara on Etsy, is going to do a free banner giveaway for one of my blog readers. You can choose from the “Hope” or “Love” banners in the photo above, or you can choose any other short word (4 letters or less) to have custom made with the fabric/colors that you prefer.
She also has so many cute things in her store…skirts, napkins, wall hangings…and there is a super cute Simplify banner in the same fabric as mine too. She of course does custom as well, you can see all of her creations here. These jeans , this skirt , and this apron are among my faves. This summer, I’m going to have her make a swirly patchy skirt for Bella.
To enter yourself in the drawing for the banner, leave a comment below telling me about your favorite thing to do when you have a day to yourself. The cut off for comments will be Friday, Feb. 13 at 12:00 p.m. CST…and I will announce the winner shortly after that. Yay for giveaways!
COMMENTS ARE CLOSED…Stay tuned for the announcement of a winner!

I light a few candles, take a lovely bath, and maybe read in the tub. Then I play classical music on the piano for a while. A perfect day off would include gardening of some sort, dancing, praying, crocheting, and enjoying a clean house.

I love coming here… always such a breath of fresh air.
Thinking about a day all to myself. When was the last time that happened? I’m thinking I’d snuggle up with a good book, or cook up something wonderful. IN the summertime, I’d probably spend some time out in the garden.

When I have time to myself, I like to RELAX! I cuddle in bed with a book, some chocolate and I let my mind drift.

One thing that I love to do when I have a day to myself is to read. I especially love historical fiction even though I enjoy reading non-fiction works as well. Unfortunately, I have started many books and my list of “want-to-read” books is growing continually, but the number that I actually finish without being interrupted months at a time is few!

When I have a day to myself, I love to go longboarding (skateboarding) around neighborhoods, read my bible and chill with Jesus under a tree, watch people and wonder where they’re going and what they’re thinking, and journal. And then spend time drinking coffee with people and hear about their lives and thoughts.

What beauty. My sweet friend passed this blog on to me. Both are blessings!

It is so refreshing to check your blog out.
I don’t often have a whole day to myself, but when I do, I love to turn on some classical music, get a good cup of coffee and a book. As I’ve gotten older, I have learned to love and enjoy the quietness of just being.

When I have a day to myself, I like to go for a walk, go thrifting, read, sew, take a nap.
But what I really do is clean my house.

Stay home for the whole day. Take a nap. Do things when I choose rather than when my schedule dictates.

What a fun giveaway! I will be checking out her store for sure. I love homemade things like that! My favorite “day off” activities are – reading, running, spinning and a long hot bath. And cooking! I really love just hanging out at home and doing what my mood dictates. Some relaxing, and some creating. Come to think of it, most days in my life are like that. I feel very blessed! Thanks for this great giveaway

A day to myself would be wonderful filled with my favorite coffee, good music and my house quiet (nobody else home) so that I could clean, rearrange and organize!
I love the LOVE banner…I have the perfect spot

What a great giveaway! If I were to have a day to myself, I would sleep in, take a hot bath, eat some good chocolate, drink some tea, knit, read a book, take a nap, take a walk.

Whenever I have time to myself (with 4 kids, isn’t much) I like to have a good cup of coffee and read.

In short- whatever strikes my fancy. And isn’t that really the key? Sometimes even things I normally enjoy feel like “shoulds” and in my book, a day to myself is a day when I avoid all “shoulds” and revel in all the “coulds.”

Hope I’m not too late entering! Usually when I have time to myself I put on some comfy cloth, get the french press goin and read until my eyeballs hurt.

I don’t often get days to myself…..it’s hard to know what I would do if I had the chance. There is a lovely “good junk” store near my house and it is packed to the ceilings. I would likely go there and then devour a book at my local coffee shop.
