Sutara Banner Giveaway!

two-up-copy

Several of you have commented on my “Rejoice” banner…isn’t it fun?! Well, I have exciting news! Brenna, the mama who runs Sutara on Etsy, is going to do a free banner giveaway for one of my blog readers. You can choose from the “Hope” or “Love” banners in the photo above, or you can choose any other short word (4 letters or less) to have custom made with the fabric/colors that you prefer.

She also has so many cute things in her store…skirts, napkins, wall hangings…and there is a super cute Simplify banner in the same fabric as mine too. She of course does custom as well, you can see all of her creations here. These jeans , this skirt , and this apron are among my faves. This summer, I’m going to have her make a swirly patchy skirt for Bella.

To enter yourself in the drawing for the banner, leave a comment below telling me about your favorite thing to do when you have a day to yourself.  The cut off for comments will be Friday, Feb. 13 at 12:00 p.m. CST…and I will announce the winner shortly after that. Yay for giveaways!

COMMENTS ARE CLOSED…Stay tuned for the announcement of a winner!

Wow…a day to myself??? Can’t remember what that is like (not complaining though!).

I would probably make some tea and curl up in the sun with a good book. I’d go for a walk in the sunshine and take my time. And then I’d have some expensive chocolates to top it all off.

    Ahhhh….. :)

I haven’t had a day to myself in a very long time, but when I get an hour or two I like to curl up with some tea, dark chocolate, a book and or a notebook, or a movie online….or sometimes just catch up on sleep…maybe take a shower without people pounding downt the door and paint my toenails pink. :D

If I had a day to myself, I would spend it enjoying the SILENCE… Hopefully, I could be at home alone. I would take a walk, read a book, maybe do an organizing project, and watch a movie, all while enjoying easy, healthy food that doesn’t need to be cooked or make a lot of dirty dishes!

I would learn how to make little felt creatures. I checked this book out of the library, but have only had the time to briefly look and drool.

Hmm, a day to myself. I like to read on the porch, sipping some tea. Sometimes, I’ll cuddle up on the couch and watch one of “my movies” (that the hubby won’t watch with me) and indulge in a sweet, baked treat.
If money weren’t an issue, I’d go for a day at the spa, working out all those “Mommy Kinks”. :)

My favorite thing to do when I have a day to myself is curl up outside in the grass (if it’s nice) or by a window when it’s cold (I live in Minnesota, c’mon) and read a good book. I could do that for hours- drifiting in and out of daydreaming, reading, snoozing, drinking tea, listening to the wind, reading, reading, reading…. get the picture? It’s especially restful to do this outside with bare legs- in a skirt or shorts so that the air just whooshes over you… aaahhh.

A day to myself would consist of sleeping in, a cup of coffee, crafting or cleaning, hiking to an overlook-then reading poetry whilst nibbling on a bit of chocolate, then home for a nap:)

I am going to have to make this come true.

The banners are great. I would choose LOVE.

When I get a day to myself, which isn’t very often, I like to have a quiet cup ot tea in the sunny living room. Then I take a long shower, uninterupted. I head out to the beach if it’s nice, or the library if it isn’t.

Then I come home and wonder when everyone else will finally be home. :-)

When I have a day to myself I like to go on a hike somewhere. I always bring a picnic lunch with me and the current book I’m reading. Unfortunately I don’t get to do this often. I have 7 year old boy/girl twins.

A day to myself – I will have to imagine…

My absolute favorite thing to do is cook. So, I imagine I will slowly go through my recipe books in search for a yummy new recipe that I think everyone will love and I have never made before. Then, take a stroll through the grocery store to pick up all the ingredients. Then, come home to an already cleaned up home and begin my masterpiece. Then, when all returned from where ever they were, they would all sit and lovingly, without complaint, sit and savor the wonderful food their wife and mother just prepared.
This makes me hungry, but not for another peanut butter and jelly……..

I’m late to the party. Oh well. Maybe it will turn out to be a good thing. :o )

A day to myself – would depend on finances and where I was when that day presented itself.

I would love to wander and take photos if it was a warm, spring day. I would love to visit antique and thrift stores in search of treasures. Spend time in a used book store looking for favorite volumes. Or Gardening, trimming back, staking up, tilling, weeding, with the warm sun on my back. Maybe a short road trip to a nearby town for Thai food and a white mocha. :o )

When I ever get a day to myself, I go to a French coffee shop I love and just watch the people who sit there and invent stories about them in my my head. I can daydream and imagine what their lives are like and I always end up re-evaluating my own life and what I project to people.

BTW, I am in LOVE with the banners!!! God bless!

When I have a day to myself I like to stay in my pajamas all day and make something for myself, family or for our home…not something to sell, just something to enjoy ourselves. A skirt, a cake, a centerpiece or a toy for my son. I can get lost in the project, hours fly by when I have no distractions.

I haven’t had a whole day yet, but when I have my moments, I try to read or slowly sip coffee. Often I will look at Flickr or just doodle. But really enjoying a cup of coffee tends to be number 1.

With a day to myself, I would first and foremost thank the Almighty!!
As the spirit moves me, I would do some yoga, get outside for a walk, read the Bible, knit, talk with the lovely old ladies who are always hanging out in the common area of my Grandma’s apartment building, surprise a friend with some flowers from my yard and spend some time in mediation at Church. Delicious!!!
Then, refreshed and renewed, I would eagerly look forward to lovin’ up my kids and husband!!

Ahhh, a day to myself. I love the thought. I’d do something outdoors for a couple of hours–hike, trail run, horseback ride. Then I’d head over to Barnes and Noble and spend a couple hours sipping a Soy Chai Latte browsing through a stack of books and magazines. Then I’d come home and surf the internet to my hearts content. Then a bubble bath and bed…I’m smiling just thinking about it :-)
