I talk a lot about Etsy on this blog…so I thought I would share this fun little video about how it all began.

Awesome video! I have an Etsy shop full of beautiful patchwork batik hammock bags, patchwork batik hand bound banana peal paper journals, batik prayer flags, hand painted super soft jersey scarves, etc. that you or some of your readers may be interested in.

P.S. The name of this video cracked me up because I am reading The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood for one of my classes.

I love scouring etsy for project ideas, though I’ve only bought one thing from an etsy shop- a set of fantastic cloth menstrual pads from naturallyhip. Some of my other mama friends do the same and then we craft together while our children play. Yay etsy!

Cool video! I love browsing Etsy. If I had time I could really get into it and that could spell disaster!

As far as ever creating and selling for Etsy myself…I make quilts and unfortunately the vast majority of people have no idea the time and effort that quilt making requires. I don’t think I could ever be successful selling them!

Side note…in the video, did the button that girl made say, “Babies creep me out”?

I haven’t watched the video, but at one time there was a button on Etsy that said that. There are quite a few zero-population growth adherents that frequent the Etsy forums.
