A Friend in Need…

This morning as I was scanning through my Facebook updates, I gasped out loud when I came to Laura’s:
Most everything is burned/melted or water-damaged.
Only home my kids have ever known.
SO hard but thanking God we were NOT there!
Laura is the mama of 5 sweet babes, and wife to Jeromy. She is a photographer friend of mine and a beautiful, giving soul. I am so heartbroken for their family and can’t even begin to fathom that feeling of loss. They have lived in their home for 5 1/2 years…and to find that it burned down on Christmas day is devastating.
Please say a prayer for their family as they sort through all the pieces of this tragedy. If you are able to give a financial gift, you can do that via her blog here. Even just a few dollars will uplift this sweet family.

Sara, my heart really goes out to her family. The little ones, my goodness.
Any idea if she cloth diapers, or knits? I do both, and could easily re-stash her on both fronts. Not the highest priority, I know. But a comfort perhaps, if either thing is important to her.

I couldn’t give much, but no one should know such loss on Christmas day. I hope every little bit helps them. What a lovely friend you are to share this story in hopes of helping.

I will keep her in my prayers. I also wanted to let you know that a photo I saw on your flickr inspired my one word pick for 2010.It is enough.we have had a difficult year last year but I know I have enough and I have found that enough brings contentment. I would love to travel around the states like you in an rv. I am a gypsy at heart but alas I am the primary breadwinner and a nurse. Hope you have a wonderful 2010.
