10 Years of Wedded Bliss

I remember waking up on this day exactly 10 years ago and being so full of excitement. All of our friends and family had come up to northern Minnesota to celebrate the commitment Matt and I were about to make. The food was ready. The church was being decorated. I felt amazing.
The day went off without a hitch. I still remember the feeling I had as the doors opened, and the music swelled…my daddy holding my arm as he walked me down the aisle.
There was such hope and anticipation in that day, for the weeks ahead, and for our lives together. I look at this photo of us and remember the giddy feelings we had when we were together in those early days…and we still feel that way! We’ve experienced more life TOGETHER than many couples do in a lifetime. I am so thankful for my sweet Matthew and on this day, we celebrate 10 years of bliss together.
Our friends thought we were crazy when we told them we were getting married after knowing each other for one month. We were crazy then, and we’re STILL crazy. Love you!

chad and I got the crazy looks too – we moved in together after one day of being together. We moved halfway across the country 5 months after meeting each other. We got engaged 5 months and one week after meeting each other
and we got married 5 months after that. And it has been a crazy wonderful ride ever since then!

I hear you there Sara. My husband and I were married on Augest 8, 1982. Although life has delt us with some pretty hard blows, we still manage to stay married. We went through a lot before we were married. He had gotten out of a bad relationship, six months before we met; and I was going through a really bad patch with my ex. We became friends first, and met each other at work. When I moved out and away from my ex, we kept in touch. Soon we were working together, and dating. Six months later, we moved in together, and two month later, we got married, on the hottest day in Escondido, CA. We are still together and life goes on. We now have an 18 yr old daughter, and two cats who share our lives, here in Santee, CA. Life is not always easy, but we try to get by each day.

Happy Anniversary, guys!! What an awesome, continuing love story you have. Jeromy and I have been together for 12 years, married for 8 this November, and are more in love today than we have EVER been. Watching my Mom go through a separation (after 16 years of marriage) makes me feel that much more blessed and amazed with this life God has given me. My husband and I (just married a month ago!) were engaged after only six months – engaged four – and we had some pretty sideways comments from friends, so I can only imagine what you experienced! Looks like the joke is on any naysayers now, though – congrats to you both!

Congrats on 10 years. My husband and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary next month! Time flies when you are having fun! I had almost an identical floral bouquet (lavender roses and purple hydrangea)…love them! Bridesmaids just had the purple hydrangea. Anyway, may God continue to bless you and your family.
