DPP ‘ 10 // Warmth

Filed under: December Photo Project, Photography

This morning my mom and I enjoyed some candy cane green tea together. There is just something about holding that warmth in my hands…the steam rising up to meet me…it all makes me very happy. Sharing that time with someone you love makes it even sweeter!

And now, as I sit here writing…I have the same cup filled with honey chamomile tea. The house is quiet, the Christmas tree is glowing, and the fire is lit. Pure bliss. I look forward to this simple pleasure every day.

Aren’t simple pleasures just the sweetest ? And even better when they are shared with dear ones. This is what the Christmas season should be all about – simple treats savoured with loved ones, none of this consumerist rushing and stress and misery, just living life to the full and enjoying each moment along the way – seems like you already know that for sure anyway though!! With love Jules x

And I bet Casie isn’t too far away just waiting to be pet. I’m beginning to miss the furballs- your parents need to go visit someone so I can get some kitty time :)

Hi Sara! I agree with jules above, about the simple pleasures. It is a practice that my husband and I engage in daily, and live by. It sounds like you’ve come to appreciate those quiet moments. In fact, that’s when God comes to one, biggest benefit of all!
