Settling Down in Colorado

Today we signed a lease to rent an adorable little house in Longmont, Colorado! We’ve known for some time that we would be heading back to work for my brother’s real estate company in Boulder…but now that we have a house, it’s official. We leave Iowa tomorrow morning and move in on Friday.

We are not “getting off the road”…but rather, taking a break and settling in for a bit. It seems to be what we do…and it works for us. We can feel it in our souls when we are ready for a little more stability, and it’s time.

We are keeping the RV (we can actually park it at the house)…and still plan to travel this summer. We will be in Colorado at least through the fall and maybe longer. My brother, Scotty, is moving to Boulder too for a new job…and my brother Dan and his fiance, Jess, will be visiting often for business. Family fun!

We are SUPER excited about this opportunity to re-connect and find our rhythm again…while living in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. The hooping community in the Boulder area is vibrant and full of love…can’t wait to get plugged in there too.

During the first couple of months of the new year, I will be focusing on finishing our Modern Nomadic Living eCourse as well as some other exciting projects that I have in the works.

I know that there are MANY of you in this area and I’m super excited to have you all over to our house for supper/coffee/hooping/cookouts :)

Here’s to new adventures and a new canvas to decorate! Yay!

Sounds so nice to put down “roots” again, at least for awhile. :)
Can I ask you two quick questions?
I really like your bangs – how did they cut them? They look shorter in the center and piecey-er than most. Did you ask for anything specific? And how do you style them each day? Do you flat iron them?

Also, what kind of nose ring is in your nose and what size is it? I want to switch mine out from a stud, but don’t know what to get and I really like yours. Does it have a ball on it?

That was more than two! I should have said, “I have two subjects to ask you about”!

    Have a blessed day!

Jen…sorry for the delay in responding to these questions! My bangs are cut at an angle and kind of choppy/piecey on one side. I cut them myself but did have them done the first time. I round brush and blow dry them.

My nose ring has a tension ball on the inside.

Funny, you just answered this for me on your Red Rocks post! Thanks! How big’s your brush barrel? I ask b/c I’ve got bangs that always end up looking like junior high bangs and I can’t figure it out!

Bangs are a tricky thing! It’s quite a big brush…probably 2 inches in diameter (bristle brush). I’ve actually found large “paddle” brushes to work well for bangs. You might want to try one of those….good luck!

Wishing you all the very best on this next stop of your journey. My son and daughter-in-love moved from Nashville, TN to Estes Park this past fall, living in a two-room “cabin” and are just so in love with the area. Looking forward to hearing about your life in Longmont!
