Correspondence

My love affair with “real” mail continues…and I would LOVE to have more of it in my mailbox! :) I’ve been checking it often, but then remembered that I’ve hardly given our address out to anyone yet!

The very best thing about settling into a house is having a real mailbox again. It’s like a gaping hole in my life when it’s not there. :) There is something so magical about mail…it can change the course of an entire day! You can find more posts about my mail obsession here.

It’s been so fun to exchange mail with many of you over the years. My favorite kind of letters are the ones where you just tell me what is going on in your day. What you are working on, things your kids are doing, spiritual truths you’ve discovered, your struggles, your joys. I can’t promise that I will be able to respond to every letter, but I want to try. If you have kids, it would be really fun to exchange postcards with Bella and Lucy! Even if you don’t have kids…we love seeing postcard photos from where you live!

And so, without further ado…here is where your correspondence can find us:

(*and now that Christmas is just around the corner, please add us to your mailing list too!)

This is awesome. I was just talking with my mom about how I miss real mail. My kids love getting stuff to. My kids are older but they love to draw and mail it out. I’ll have them make goodies for your girls;) they would love to receive some too.

Emily…yes! I did get many patches. I still have them in my “future project” box. Life happened and it didn’t get done as quickly as I would have liked. Hopefully while I’m nesting up here :)

    Hi there!

I put you on my list! I’ve got a girl (3 in January) and a boy (7 months) and we are, my husband and I, two avid readers of your blogs. We want to hit the road and you always have been a great inspiration for us. So, this Christmas, we are sending you something from Quebec!

Hmmm, I love this idea. I have a 9 year old daughter who loves to have pen pals. I’ll get her working on this. I bought the Yerba Tea you write about as I woke with a nasty head cold and am craving hot liquids, very yummy! Perhaps a letter from Philly will arrive in a week or so.

(First off, this is a great blog find!)

This post made me smile. There really is something awsome about “real” mail. I mean, e-mail is easy (and cheap), but I think I still prefer real mail.
