Weekending :: Teapots, Masala, & Family
It’s hard to believe it’s already the weekend again! Last weekend we spent four blissful days in Vail with our family. See all the fun here. This weekend was just as wonderful. Here is the recap. Above: My favorite teacup and teapot filled with Rishi citron oolong.
Banana muffins on vintage Norman Rockwell.
Daddy and his girls.
Lunch at our favorite Indian buffet, Kathmandu. They have the most amazing sweet potato masala. Mmmmmm…
You know how I love flags.
Kathmandu has a great little play area, so when the girls are done eating…it’s ALMOST like Matt and I are on a date
I took a nap. Oh yes I did.
Sunday morning sunshine on my little sunshine.
After church, we met up with family in Boulder.
Uncle Dan and Lucy reading together.
Jess and the girls with their rice krispie treats
Scotty smiles.
Dan took the photo so I could be in a family photo more than once a year! Thanks Dan.
And the big fun of the weekend…Bella’s new love of Legos. She has discovered the Lego Friends line and has been creating her little city. So fun to see her work for hours on all of her “projects”.

I met up with a friend and starting hooping today! It’s really fun, but pretty tough to learn. I can’t wait to practice and get better and learn more!

Eat eat eat! Oh my gosh! I’m in trouble! It’s like an eating fest over here! And my husband keeps making my favorite foods.
On Sunday my little girl said to me “mama! you look like you have a baby in your tummy” FANTASTIC! We can hang out together, I also look pregnant! Except that I’m not.

A super long phone conversation with a girlfriend – about healthy eating/nutrition – which then made me frazzled and almost late for a baby shower I was hosting. But I only partly regret staying on the phone that long
Date with my 12 year old daughter, groceries, studying. A full weekend.

Hmmmm: a date with a friend to get things for her wedding, then breakfast food (think french toast with cinnamon apples) at about two in the afternoon. A birthday celebration on Saturday night that lasted until five the next morning, filled with dancing and fun. Lazy morning with pancakes, and another trip out with another friend. (It sounds like a lot, but it was good, really.)
P.S. How old is Scotty/is he single? He’s cute!

Can’t remember how I came across your blog … something to do with dreads, I’m sure, as I was doing a BUNCH of research. We decided to start our dreadlock journey 2wks ago {using the neglect method, so there’s not a whole lot to show yet LOL}
Anyway, hi!
You have a beautiful family!

Well, I went to Hoop Church at Hot Mamma’s where I met Christina for the second time. I told her that after we met about a month ago, I kept thinking that I knew her from somewhere. She had mentioned owning an RV park – and I finally put it all together – I had read about her and her family on Walk Slowly! I told her this yesterday, and she just lit up! She said how you have led her to some of her dearest friends! Then I told her how Jefe and Kelly were visiting my son, Shade, and they mentioned their travels. I told them about your site and that you frequently had amazing RVs for sale. Imagine my surprise when I see Jefe and Kelly on your blog – the new owners of your most recent RV!! small world – no? Next I fully expect you to run into my golden locked girl, Sierra as she lives in Denver and is frequently in Nederwald – and of course eats at Katmandu. You will know her when you see her waist length locks! One last thing – thanks for introducing me to green smoothies and for sharing the light in your little girls’ faces! peace and love, Andrea

So much family fun. Looks like you all had a great time. Love the tea pots. Sunday was the best day. I got to take a nap and we lounged around the house all day.

Went to a play with a girlfriend on Friday, afterwards we had a glass of wine or two… Went skating on a nearby lake on Saturday, dinner at a friends house, including two of our three teenagers, almost a high score… Skating with daughter and husband on another lake Sunday. They prepare a 2 mile round for skating, we went around it three times, a bit of exercise:-)

I was laying on the beach in costa rica at my best friends wedding! Sailboats, fresh papayas, rice & beans, horses, monkeys, and 25 of my closest friends….. An absolute dream! Now waiting on tarmac in Houston and headed to the snowy mountains of Colorado…..

made those muffins this morning – a chilly-supposed-to-snow sort of day with a playdate to boot and they were shockingly delicious!! I cannot believe how moist they are!! I mean, not that I expected bad results but..holy deliciousness!! also, as a treat to myself for eating well/losing weight the past month is that I bought myself some rishi citron oolong which I have wanted to try forever.
thanks for the goodness.
