Realization

There is a little coffee shop within walking distance of our house. It’s the kind of place where they take cash only and if you don’t have enough, they say “just pay next time”!

There is a little nook full of toys for the girls. Inspirational quotes hang on doorways…written on index cards. Postcards from exotic destinations decorate the bathroom walls.

Quiet conversations happening at each table. Actual face to face dialogue…because this place doesn’t have wi-fi.

I settle in with my egg croissant and latte…and take in my surroundings. The velvet couch. The green plants. Giggling girls and a slamming screen door.

And I realize that I love my life.

I love finding little cozy places like this. I found a few of them nestled around Lake Tahoe. They make a beautiful place FEEL beautiful.

Very nice! I live on a lake in WI and just sat on our deck with a tea latte and felt the same way. We also have a coffee shop called “Common Grounds” nearby that has become a sacred space for me right on the Harbor. I can sit there forever looking out at vast Lake Michigan and think: God is good, life is good, I love my life! :)

Love this snapshot of your life you’ve shared. And aren’t those moments of realization worth all the worry and strife? Ah, yes. I love my life, too. <3

You are enjoying the bliss of being in the moment, fully aware and completely engaged, a true “be still and know that I am God” pace. So thrilled for you and so happy you found a little nook to bask in. Much love, momma Cinny

I’m totally a lurker… but this post just put a smile on my face.

After several very down days, I too also realized, I love my life. It’s not perfect and it’s sometimes messy, but I love my life. :)

    Happy Friday,
    Andi
